The Auburn Water District Seeks Customer Assistance to Identify Materials in Private Service Lines
The Auburn Water District proudly provides safe drinking water to approximately 6,500 households and businesses in Auburn and Poland. In 2022, we delivered an average of 2.3 million gallons of clean drinking water every single day! We need your help in order to comply with a recent US Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) revision.
The EPA now requires us to develop and maintain a water service line inventory by October 16 of this year. This includes both the portion of pipe owned by the Auburn Water District, and the portion from the street into the home, belonging to the property owner.
